How To Book Fastpasses Your Whole Party Will Love
Planning any vacation can be stressful, especially when you are travelling with others. A Disney vacation is no different, with the added stress of booking your fastpasses. It's important to try and please everyone as well as make sure you don't waste some of your opportunities. As the designated fastpass booker of my family, I have struggled with this dilemma for quite a few years, as the interests of the members of my family often differ. As a result, the first step is too talk to your family or friends about what they want to do on this trip. Their feedback will help you when it comes time to booking your fastpasses.
If you have a reservation at a Walt Disney World resort, you will be able to book your fastpasses 60 days in advance of your trip. If you don't, you will only have 30 days in advance. Whenever you are able to, it is recommended to have the ability to book the more popular attractions. To begin, you'll need to select the members of your party from you're friends list.
After you have selected your date, you need to pick the park you will be visiting that day. While it is possible that you may have a parkhopper ticket, you are unable to book fastpasses for more than one park a day. My family's favorite park is EPCOT, so I will be booking for that park in this example.
Once you've selected your party members, you'll need to select the date you're booking the fastpasses for. You'll need to have your tickets in order to book your fastpasses. Annual passholders are able to book fastpasses for the duration of membership.
The first fastpass you book should be your FastPass+ selection. These attractions are the most popular rides in the park and only one can be booked by a person. For my family, we usually split up into two groups due to interests. My parents love Soarin' while my younger siblings and I love Test Track. I do my best to book these fastpasses for as close to the same time as possible.

After booking your FastPass+ selection, you will be able to book two from the other experiences available. Some experiences, such as the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival and The Seas with Nemo and Friends are rides that a fastpass is not necessary for if you want to avoid lines. It is best to do research on these attractions in order to help in making the best selections.
Once you have made your selections, you will be able to view what you have scheduled. You will have the ability to cancel or change these selections, so it is okay to check and make sure everyone is a fan of your choices.
One last piece of advice I would like to leave you with is to schedule your fastpasses for as early as you possibly can. Once you have used all three of your fastpasses for the day, you are able to book more at the park.
